Hi! I know you're thinking 'What the hell is this website?' Well that's what I'm here to tell you. If you're one of the unfortunate people who live in Riyadh, you know how boring, and unproductive life can be around here. I woke up one day and wanted to change that. So I came up with the idea of 'The Media Club' it's a club for passionate, creative, and people who want to do something with their lives. It's a club for wannabe video makers, writers, poets, artist, photographers, singer, gamer, what ever your interest is you are welcome as long as you are productive.
If you're interested in our work, or you want to do business, use any of the contact information below:
Movie Wednesday is back you guys! A brief update, we have a new officer responsible for Movie Wednesday. Say hi to Saba! She’ll be responsable for movie topics, and compiling your video reviews! The club is back in action you guys. Alright back to the movie:
This movie wednesday is “One Day” if like me you’ve read the book, I bet you’ve been dying to watch it, and now you actually can pulse in good quality *Tears of joy*
I don’t want to ruin the movie, since I give out the plot of the story, so here’s the IMDB
page that gives you the summary you need. And what better way to have a glimpse of what you’re about to see than a trailer:
As we all know, The month of actober is well known to be Breast Cancer Awarness Month. So in tribute to this on going campagn, our media club has decided to take part in such a cause. I have stated in our first meeting that we’ll have educational projects that will make people aware of situaion (I’m well aware that people know about breast cancer) But I want our club to address this issue, and educate them more. So we will dive into angels that weren’t addressed before. (I’m very excited!) So this project will take part in this month, and I have stated before, you are not forced to take part on projects, (only topics you have to take part in) So since this project is an extra activity, I would like to ask who’s interested in joining both Adwa, and I in the “Breast Cancer Awareness” Project?
If you’r enterested in joining, Email us (Media.firstname.lastname@example.org) Or tweet us (@RiyadhMediaClub) that you’re enterested.
Hey everyone! I know I was supposed to post his yesterday, but it’s been pretty hectic :D The movie I chose for our movie night is called A millionaire’s first love. A lot of people told me *Coughs* “Adwa Al Soughayer ” told me that they want a nice romantic movie and after some searching, I found this :D Here’s the movie’s IMDB page.
And here’s the movie’s (Unfortunately unsubtitled) trailer:
“There’s something magical about a still photograph - a captured moment in time - that can simultaneously exist outside the fraction of a second the shutter captures.” Jamie Beck
Jamie Beck is one phenomenal photographer! He has a way of compiling pictures that look still but one part moving. Ahhh words can’t explain this genius you have to see for yourself! Click here to see his work.
“Natsumi Hayashi is a sweet-looking Japanese girl who, one day, decided to take self-portraits..of herself levitating. She can be spotted in and around Tokyo, equipped with her SLR and her self-timer. When she feels the moment strike, she presses the shutter button down and then, quite literally, “jumps” into place. What I love most about her shots is that they don’t feel forced. Natsumi has a way of making us feel as though she naturally levitates throughout life.
When I asked her how others react to her jumping around Tokyo, here is a funny story that she shared. “One day, when I was jumping at a famous sightseeing spot in western Tokyo, workers at a souvenir shop were frightened by how I was jumping. They were whispering things like ‘Is the girl mentally ill’ and ‘Do we need to call the police?’
"So I stopped jumping and apologized to them by saying, ‘I am taking jumping photos for my wedding party’s slide show.’ Their faces turned bright red, and they said things like ‘Oh dear!’ and ‘Congratulations!’ and even ‘Keep jumping!’"
